Bonjour! I’m Azure; a healthy dose of eccentricity best taken with a grain of salt.

I am a twenty-something lover of life. More specifically:

~ Words. I think that anyone who can twist them in their mouth and make something beautiful come out is someone with whom I want to spend my time.
~ Maps. In academia and for fun, I utilize Geographic Information Systems (“GIS”). There is something so elegant about collecting and analyzing data, then being able to disseminate that information clearly and creatively with those around me. Maps are as fundamental to society as language and words, and for someone who loves to experience the world, there is no field more fitting.
~ Books. “Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body” (Joseph Addison). I adore the places that books take me, how they move me, and what they enable me to learn without leaving my bed.
~ Music. Concerts and live music help me feel alive, connecting me by sounds with those around me. “The most important things don’t fit into words, that’s why there’s music” (Rachel Wolchin). I will listen to anything that can carry a beat, and even those that don’t.
~ Animals. In particular, dogs, horses, bees, and cats. They listen without judgement, do not feel awkward by silence, and are wonderful at snuggling. Plus… bees give us honey and pollinate our food.
~ Travel. I collect moments, not things, for I would rather have stories to tell than stuff to show. Exploring the world teaches you so much, and I want to be able to experience our world as well as help preserve it.
~ Rock Climbing. I am a big proponent of brains AND brawn, and this sport forces you to master both. Plus, the views are phenomenal. The same goes for horseback riding.
~ Food. Growing it, researching it, cooking it, and eating it. Because… why not?

  1. I’m a member of the LA fitness in cranston. I’ve been researching concepts of a smoothie/juice business that or been thinking of opening in Providence. My idea is a bit different than what is typical at a smoothie store. I’d love to pick your brain sometime!
