Life can get intense. Sometimes, you just have to let loose and party to deal with it.
Which means that partying happens, and when partying happens…. there is the inevitable hangover.
Hangovers suck. We all know that. If you haven’t experienced one, then you are either 1) a champion at hydrating post-drinking, 2) you have an iron stomach, or 3) you haven’t let loose enough.
Thankfully, you have me to help you nip those hangovers in the bud! Here are some natural ways to aid you in your coping journey:
Hydrate. Replenish lost electrolytes with coconut water. Alcohol is a diuretic – which means that you urinate more, which in turn means that your body passes a lot of magnesium and potassium whilst drinking. Drinking regular water will also help re-hydrate.
Potassium. The potassium in bananas and spinach will also help replenish electrolytes. Try drinking a green smoothie first thing in the morning post-partying!
Banish Nausea. Peppermint tea can ease stomach pain (indigestion) and nausea.
B Vitamins. Replenishing your B Vitamins that were lost is an easy way to shorten the hangover period. It would also be wise to pick up a B Vitamin dis-solvable drink without additives or sweeteners at your local drug store and drink it before going out at night. Drink more after getting home at night and again the next morning, and you will be rearing and ready to go in no time.
