Natural Hangover Cures

Life can get intense. Sometimes, you just have to let loose and party to deal with it.

Which means that partying happens, and when partying happens…. there is the inevitable hangover.
Hangovers suck. We all know that. If you haven’t experienced one, then you are either 1) a champion at hydrating post-drinking, 2) you have an iron stomach, or 3) you haven’t let loose enough.

Thankfully, you have me to help you nip those hangovers in the bud! Here are some natural ways to aid you in your coping journey:

Hydrate. Replenish lost electrolytes with coconut water. Alcohol is a diuretic – which means that you urinate more, which in turn means that your body passes a lot of magnesium and potassium whilst drinking. Drinking regular water will also help re-hydrate.
The potassium in bananas and spinach will also help replenish electrolytes. Try drinking a green smoothie first thing in the morning post-partying!
Banish Nausea.
Peppermint tea can ease stomach pain (indigestion) and nausea.
B Vitamins.
Replenishing your B Vitamins that were lost is an easy way to shorten the hangover period. It would also be wise to pick up a B Vitamin dis-solvable drink without additives or sweeteners at your local drug store and drink it before going out at night. Drink more after getting home at night and again the next morning, and you will be rearing and ready to go in no time.
Happy Friday loves! Enjoy your weekend; live it up. I have tickets to the Newport Folk Festival on Saturday and I’m SO EXCITED. I also still have to post pictures from last weekend, I know. It will happen soon, I promise.

About azuremarie

Bonjour, I'm Azure; a healthy dose of eccentricity best taken with a grain of salt. Most people describe me as sassy, and I like that. I love words, and think that anyone who can twist them in their mouth and make something beautiful come out is sexy and someone with whom I want to spend my time. I read a lot (bordering on too much), and am baller at boggle. I happen to be addicted to concerts/live music, and will listen to anything that can carry a beat, and even those that don't. I believe that being normal is boring, and love bright colors. I have a soft spot for animals, particularly dogs and horses, but I am beginning to be a cat person as well. Sometimes, I will admit that I like some animals better than some people - they're great listeners and don't judge. J'adore voyager. Someday I want to be able to look at a map of the world and say "I have been there, there, and there... and there", and have a memory attached to them all. I've recently begun to work at an organic juice bar, and diet/holistic health is starting to become a main passion of mine. I want to be able to experience our world, as well as help save it. Oh, and unicorns exist.
